Privacy Policy

This policy explains the limited information handled by Tarrant Residents Directory and the choices available to visitors. The service is a Texas public-records reference, not an account-based directory, and it does not retain a personal dossier about readers.

Information You Provide

A name, phone number, or address entered into a search widget is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result flow; our servers do not store a copy of that search. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.

Automatic Technical Data

Hosting services may create standard logs, including an IP address, browser information, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable technology may also support basic analytics or advertising measurement.

How Information Is Used

The limited data supports operation, error correction, traffic measurement, and improvements to the reference. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.

External Services

Links lead to county and state portals, archive collections, libraries, and third-party search services. Information submitted on those services is governed by their policies, including the provider behind sponsored results, rather than this policy.

Who Can Process Data

The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.

Safeguards

The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational reasons described here. Because there are no visitor accounts, the service does not keep a site password or account profile for a visitor.

Visitors Under 18

The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Privacy Choices

The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Business & Commerce Code chapter 541, gives covered Texas consumers rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out in defined circumstances. Exemptions can apply. Because this service retains little information, a request generally concerns a contact message or available operational log. Use the Contact page to make a request. A public record held by a Texas state, county, or city custodian is outside our control, so correction or removal requests for that material go to the custodian.

Changes to This Policy

We will post a revised policy here when this policy changes. Continued use following that posting indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
